Students at GOU will soon begin wearing uniforms to class, From 2022–2023 academic year, all students at Godfrey Okoye University in Enugu will be required to wear school uniforms. The students must now wear faculty uniforms with the proper ties and shoes.
On January 10, the vice-chancellor of the institution, Christian Anieke, issued the directive, stating that it was necessary to take this action to prevent students from dressing indecently.

He further criticized students and staff members who violated the dress code by donning t-shirts with unauthorized writing and commanded male students to properly style their hair or shave it.
