Margaret Obi, wife of Peter Obi, Presidential Candidate of the Labour Party, Says There's No Better Team to “fix Nigeria ” Than Peter Obi and Datti Baba-Ahmed

There is no better team to "turn Nigeria around" than her husband and his running mate, Datti Baba-Ahmed, according to Margaret, wife of Peter Obi, the Labour Party's (LP) presidential candidate.

At a town hall meeting in Abuja on January 3, 2022, Margaret made this statement.

She added that the time for whining is over and that if the LP candidate is elected president, women and young people will be well represented in government.

"We have gathered here today because we are patriotic people who think that Nigeria is something worth fighting for; it is our home, which we must erect by hand. We're here because, in our opinion, the country is speeding in the wrong direction toward a cliff that leads to a deep, dark abyss, Margaret said.

"Together, we must take action to turn the country around and move it in the right direction. Peter Obi and Senator Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed make the best leadership team for Nigeria at this point.

"Women make up 49% of the population in Nigeria, and by June of this year, youth and women had already made up more than 75% of the country's voter registrations. We are calling on women to empower the nation and give birth to a new Nigeria because we cannot continue to suffer in silence.

"Women are the ones who suffer the most when things go wrong. Therefore, I urge you to consider what the female candidates can provide for you. Consider their prior achievements and cast your vote accordingly.

The ObiDatti policies "show women that a new Nigeria where women take their rightful place is possible, from access to finance to healthcare, as well as economic empowerment and inclusive government. The ObiDatti administration is devoted to making sure that women and young people are legally represented in politics. Not just a few women, but many.

The time for whining has passed. In order to truly give birth to the Nigeria we want to see, God has given us a special opportunity, and it is up to us women, the mothers of the country, to play our part. ".
