Nigerian Muslims, especially Iwoland, Osun State, have been thrown into mourning over the death of a revered Islamic scholar, Dr. Fadilat Sheikh. Abdur Rashid Abdul Jaber Salman Buwaeb which was announced on Tuesday, July 2 on social media.
According to Muslim News, it was gathered that Sheikh Buwaeb, a member of the NAHCON Ulamah Association for Hajj 2022 and 2023, returned to Allah on Tuesday morning at the Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospital (OAUTHC), Ife, Osun State after a brief illness.
Sheikh Buwaeb’s death was mourned by another prominent scholar at Iwoland, THE Director of Inayatullah Travels and Tours Agency, Dr Sirajudeen al-Asraou announced in an audio broadcast obtained by IWOHUB MEDIA.
He said, "On behalf of the entire Muslim community in Iwoland, we announce the death of our scholar, Dr. Abdur-Rasheed Buwaeb, who returned to Allah this morning, Tuesday, July 2.
"Solatul Janaza will be held today (Tuesday) at Islahudeen Arabic School at Oyoode, Iwo in sha Allah. Time is 4pm. We urge all Muslims to endeavor to attend as way of honouring our departed scholar. May Allah forgive and grant him aljanah firdaus."
